Alopecia Areata

Scalp Micopigmentation (or SMP for short) can be used to combat Alopecia Areata, especially if the client is prepared to wear their hair at its shortest length.

At Scalp Dr. our highly skilled practitioner will look at the follicle density in the areas where there is existing hair and replicate the follicle patterns in the areas effected by the Alopecia Areata. It is imperative that the colour is matched perfectly and that the area treated with SMP is 'blended in' to the existing area. Alopecia Areata is known to migrate to other area's, so often your treatment is ongoing with your practitioner, for years sometimes. We are very empathetic with Alopecia Areata sufferers and always go the extra length to accommodate our clients.
