When assessing a client to see if he is a good candidate for a Density Treatment, it is important to consider whether he has enough existing hair to support such a treatment. A density treatment is essentially covering the exposed areas of the scalp with follicle-like impressions that create the illusion of a denser look with an overall tone that hides the lightness of the scalp showing through the existing hair.

In all Men's Density Treatments, the practitioner should always assume that the male client will eventually lose more of the existing hair and may shave his hair down at some point in the future. It is vital that the color tone specified is in line with the color tone when shaved down. The client will more than likely need a touch-up when he gets to this point and should schedule an appointment to see his practitioner for advice about this.
